But ooh, what a little improvisation can do when smashing fresh ingredients between two slices of bread, then cooking the combo until crispy. Best of all, you don’t need a special appliance or utensil to make these panini meltingly delicious—simply “press” an extra saucepan and a couple of canned goods into service.
