Vedge in Philadelphia. I love that they focus on veggies and doing creative things with them. The menu changes but I've loved everything I've ever gotten there. Cant go wrong with any mushroom or potato dish. Also, the desserts are unexpected very well done. I had a habanero coconut spice cake dessert that was amazing.

Radical Eats in Houston. So many good things. The fried avocado taco. Arancini Balls Hummingbird Cake Menu changes all the time with all there wonderful specials.

Im am a newbe vegan, straight from meat eatting and my whole family is on board encluding our dogs. We just recently visited the "Udipi Cafe a vegetarian Cuisine" in Tampa, FL. A must go. Family friendly Indian food and Ohh so good. I really enjoyed a dish called "Sada Mysore Dosai" and for you vegan's they are more than helpful to pick out the non dairy items on the menu.

SunCafe Organic, Studio City/Hollywood - Kale Shake - Doesn't sound it but it's wildly decadent cashew milk shake that wins over all converts. Meat eating friends beg me to go to this restaurant!

Veggie Heaven in Teaneck, NJ; Gotta try the Roast Boneless "Chicken". But then all the dishes are a must-try.

I have 2 in the Boston area, the first one is Life Alive, they are in Lowell and Cambridge...the Green Goddess is yummy! Rawbert's AKA Organic Garden in Beverly, MA is great too, I love "the upgrade".

Little Africa, Grand Rapids, Michigan Lovely restaurant, fantastic black coffee, food is amazing. Our favorite way to order: a platter for two, chef's choice. Everything comes on a bed of injera. A must-try if you're in the area. (Fulton Street)

I visited my daughter in Portland OR., this summer and she took me to The Bay Leaf restaurant on Division St. This vegetarian restaurant has the best pot stickers that I have ever had. In addition to the wonderful food, the ambiance is very zen, and the price is right too!

One of the readers wrote that they drove 2 hours, all the way from Wisconsin to eat at the Chicago Diner. My brother-in-Law and his girlfriend did one better: They flew in from Rockville, MD, took a cab to Chicago Diner for lunch and flew back home! Now THAT's doing lunch, vegan style...

My favorite veg restaurant is The Veggie Grill in Irvine California. Their must try dish is the All Hail Kale salad . This salad is packed with flavor, good for you and under ten dollars.

Based on a review in the this blog, we went to Shojin in Los Angeles. Fantastic!!!!! Pirates of the Crunchy was great as were Rock Mountain and the Yellow Magic Orchestra. Everything was fantastic. Don't forget to close your meal with the peach tea. This place is really worth visiting and very close to the train station.

My Thai in Boston's China Town. Other old school Bostonians may remember this place as "Buddha's Delight", and be saddened to see it no longer exists when they come back. It's still the same place, different name. My go-to meal there is the #76 spicy rice noodles with veggie beef, a bowl of hot n' sour soup (unlike any other you've ever had), and a pineapple shake. I saw Kevin Bacon there recently. He knows what's up.
