Berry Breakfast Spread

Makes 1 cup

30 minutes or fewer

Here’s a jam-making project for kids or time-pressed cooks that skips all the peeling, pitting, and slicing that goes with fresh fruit.
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • ½ cup dried strawberries
  • ½ cup dried blueberries
  • ⅛ tsp. salt

Simmer all ingredients in saucepan over medium-low heat 10 minutes. Strain fruit, and reserve 2 Tbs. liquid. Cool 10 minutes. Purée fruit and reserved liquid in food processor until smooth. Cool.
