These scones were amazing! I had to bake mine a little longer than the recommended time, but I didn't precisely measure the thickness of the rolled out dough so they may have been too thick. I also added some turbinado sugar to the top for a little crunch.

excellent! This is the best

Perfect. Best scone recipe I've made by far.

If one wanted to replace the flour with a gluten free alternative, what recommendations?

I am disgusted that you say this vegietariam recipe and then you use eggs in this blueberry scones. Which tree, plant or bush these eggs come from . I take it as eggs are potential life so should not be considered as a vegetable This is I Misinformation !!!!?!!!!

Look yummy BUT 70 Mg of Chol, not for me.

These are wonderful. Blueberries makes the scones not too dry & the chocolate in them make for just the right amount of sweetness. Everyone loved them!

Any recommendations for a substitute for the two egg yolks? Too much cholesterol and clearly NOT vegetarian.

I eat eggs, but I don't eat fish, meat, milk and a lot of other produce but don't class myself as vegan I do however for the last 40 years call myself vegetarian! How is this clearly not a vegetarian item ,....it is not a vegan recipe?

Hey guys- coming from a vegetarian I can tell you that eggs and milk are both vegetarian food items. Vegan classifies as not eating eggs or milk. Lacto-Vegetarians only drink milk and Ovo-Vegetarians only eat eggs. Eggs and milk though are included in the vegetarian diet because they are an animal product*, not an animal. Whoever wrote this recipe knew what they were doing, and it is very good. :) *the eggs are unfertilized, so they are not classified as an animal

Mine came out too wet and spread too much when I baked them. I made some cranberry orange scones yesterday that came out perfect. This ones are more wet and mushy... Even after baking several extra minutes. Not sure what I messed up but these did not work well for me.
