Chile-Garlic Paste

This smooth, spicy paste melts beautifully into sauces and soups.
  • 1 red Fresno or jalapeno chile, finely chopped (¼ cup)
  • 1 head garlic (12 cloves), cloves peeled and minced (¼ cup)

Grind ingredients into smooth paste with mortar and pestle.
