Plums with Cider Sauce

Make the most of late-summer plums with this low-fat dessert.
- 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
- 4 large plums, pitted and sliced (4 cups)
- ¼ cup light brown sugar
- ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
- ¾ cup apple cider
- 4 slices nonfat pound cake
- Vanilla ice cream
- 4 tsp. chopped candied ginger

Very good. I just made the fruit for dessert as I didn't think needed the cake and ice cream too. Ice cream would have been nice as there was alot of sauce left over but definitely not necessary. My husband thought he was eating apples. The taste is the same but I think the plums softer smoother texture is even better then apples.
