Rich Chocolate Fondue

Rich Chocolate Fondue

Serves 9

30 minutes or fewer

A combination of dark and milk chocolates yields a particularly luscious fondue. Vary the recipe by using amaretto, Kahlúa, or another after-dinner liqueur instead of cherry-flavored Kirsch.
Fondue
  • 1 ½ cups nonfat milk
  • ¼ cup natural cocoa powder
  • 12 oz. chopped dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips
  • 8 oz. chopped milk chocolate or milk chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbs. Kirsch brandy
Suggested Dippers
  • 3 cups biscotti pieces
  • 3 cups clementine segments and/or candied fruit strips

Whisk together milk and cocoa powder in large saucepan or stove-top fondue pot, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add dark and milk chocolates, and heat 3 minutes, or until chocolate has melted. Stir in Kirsch, and transfer to fondue pot, if necessary. Serve with Dippers.
