Orange-Hazelnut Vinaigrette

Nut oils, such as hazelnut, walnut, and almond, are a boon to salads, adding a hint of nutty flavor that melds particularly well with fruit juice or fruit-infused vinegars. Try this on a salad of arugula, pear, hazelnuts, and goat cheese with a sprinkling of chopped chives.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup hazelnut oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. grated orange zest
  • 1/2 cup olive oil

Preparation

Whisk together vinegar, orange juice, hazelnut oil and orange zest in blow. Slowly pour in olive oil while whisking. Season with salt and pepper.
