Ingredients

  • 1 cup clover honey
  • 1 Tbs. ground roasted New Mexico chile (see note)

Preparation

In small saucepan, heat honey over medium heat until melted, stirring occasionally, 2 to 3 minutes. Mix in ground chile. Remove pan from heat and let stand 5 minutes. Pour honey into small serving pitcher or cup. Serve warm. Leftover honey keeps 1 to 2 days. Warning: The longer it sits, the hotter it gets! Warm before serving.
