VEGETARIAN TIMES SPRING 2012 INTERNSHIP

Vegetarian Times seek an enthusiastic intern to join its editorial/web team 1-2 day(s) a week (scheduling is flexible) in our El Segundo, Calif. office. The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented local student of journalism/communications studies (or a related field) who has interest in print and online publication. A three-month commitment is required.

NOTE: YOU MUST BE ABLE TO RECEIVE CLASS CREDIT—THIS IS AN UNPAID INTERNSHIP.

Responsibilities

• Work with web team, designers and content developers to produce web pages

for vegetariantimes.com

• Write blog posts

• Help keep our small editorial office running smoothly—calling in products for review, coordinate food tastings, coordinate reader giveaways, send out magazines, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented with good communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong working knowledge of MS word and Excel; should be comfortable working on a Macintosh.
