He reminds us of how, in an emergency situation on an aircraft, we are instructed to put on our own oxygen masks before helping those around us. How does this philosophy apply to your lunch break? Your lunch time is your time; if you spend it recharging, you’ll be better equipped to go back to work and give more of yourself to your job and your co-workers. “You can give more once you’ve taken care of your own needs,” says Brazier.
