Lime-Marinated Nashi Pearls
Asian pears lend themselves well to fruit salads, where they add a crisp and juicy texture similar to melon. Nashi, the Japanese word for Asian pear, is also what they call the fruit in Australia and New Zealand.

Asian pears lend themselves well to fruit salads, where they add a crisp and juicy texture similar to melon. Nashi, the Japanese word for Asian pear, is also what they call the fruit in Australia and New Zealand.
Ingredients
- 1 medium Asian pear, peeled
- 1/2 cup halved red grapes
- 1/2 cup halved green grapes
- 1/4 cup pear nectar
- 1 Tbs. fresh lime juice
- 1 tsp. agave nectar
- 1/4 cup chopped candied ginger
- 4 sprigs mint
Preparation
Scoop as much flesh as possible from Asian pear using melon baller.
Place pear balls in bowl with grape halves, pear nectar, lime juice, and agave nectar; toss to combine. Chill 2 to 4 hours. Serve garnished with candied ginger and mint.
