Rich Chocolate Fondue
A combination of dark and milk chocolates yields a particularly luscious fondue. Vary the recipe by using amaretto, Kahlúa, or another after-dinner liqueur instead of cherry-flavored Kirsch.

A combination of dark and milk chocolates yields a particularly luscious fondue. Vary the recipe by using amaretto, Kahlúa, or another after-dinner liqueur instead of cherry-flavored Kirsch.
Ingredients
Fondue
- 1 1/2 cups nonfat milk
- 1/4 cup natural cocoa powder
- 12 oz. chopped dark chocolate or dark chocolate chips
- 8 oz. chopped milk chocolate or milk chocolate chips
- 1 Tbs. Kirsch brandy
Suggested dippers
- 3 cups biscotti pieces
- 3 cups clementine segments and/or candied fruit strips
Preparation
Whisk together milk and cocoa powder in large saucepan or stove-top fondue pot, and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add dark and milk chocolates, and heat 3 minutes, or until chocolate has melted. Stir in Kirsch, and transfer to fondue pot, if necessary. Serve with Dippers.
