You do not have to serve the same old margarita at every summer party. Don’t us wrong, we love margaritas, but when you have gorgeous peak-season fruits available, why not work them into your cocktails? This peach Moscow mule recipe is a simple summer spin on a classic favorite. Yes, you’ll be blending peaches, but the finished product is light and refreshing – no sticky, dated Bellini vibes here. Try blending in 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves with the peaches for another layer of flavor.
Moscow mules traditionally call for vodka – after all, the catchy name was intended to nudge Americans to drink more of the stuff way back in the 1940s – but this version would also taste great made with bourbon. Just remember, if you switch the spirit, technically this would become a yellow peach buck, rather than a Moscow mule.
Yellow Peach Moscow Mule Recipe
Purée peaches, mint, and lime juice in blender.
Add 1 cup ice into each of eight 16-oz. glasses. Top with 1/2 cup peach purée, 2 Tbs. vodka, 1 Tbs. Grand Marnier, and 3/4 cup ginger beer. Serve garnished with lime slices or wedges.
